CB Scheme

The scheme allows electrical equipment to be tested by for example by TUV Rheinland in Koln to the applicable IEC standard and National Deviations. National safety approvals can then be issued in say Australia by SAI Global and in South Africa by SABS, providing the specific National Deviation for these countries were included in the initial test program in Koln. The scheme allow a product to be tested once and then using the CB test report and certificate the manufacturer can obtain National Safety Approval from the countries cover by the testing.

The IECEE CB Scheme is the only international system that allows a manufacturer to test his product once and then obtained National Safety Approval for most countries worldwide without have to retest the product each time. All testing within the scheme is to the requirements of IEC standards with National deviation (requirements) for each member country where applicable.
