Chocboxes, bootlace ferrules

You could mention chocboxes for strip connector and bootlace ferrules for terminating flex.--ARWadsworth 14:28, 2 April 2011 (BST)

Do chocboxes meet the required specs for fire performance for use in new installs? http://www.chocbox.info/techspecs.html doesn't really give a clear answer. Reason I ask is they appear to be made from a thermoplastic material, which would collapse and fail to enclose the junction if it got hot enough.

Bootlace ferrules are already in there. Maybe they need mentioning twice, as you're not the first person to say put them in. NT 16:42, 2 April 2011 (BST)

Maybe re-mention them under the stuff about strip connector and folding the flex over twice. I am sure that is an ingnored reg that bootlace ferules should be used when connecting flex to fused spurs etc. I have no idea if the chocboxes meet the regs. I had seen the link you gave. I suspect that it does meet the regs for enclosing terminals.--ARWadsworth 23:28, 2 April 2011 (BST)
