OK thanks to whoever did the safety systems bit. I've tarted up the formatting and added a link the the USAnian site showing an unvented cylinder being allowed to explode in the middle of a field!

We could still do with some links to mfrs sites, some diagrams showing how a system is plumbed up, and maybe some photos. Also a bit on the qualifications and regulations related to installing & working on UV.

: Its my understanding that all DHW systems now come under part G3 of the building regs (see approved doc G). So installation is notifiable. I am not sure that servicing is - although the rules may be different in let accommodation. Probably worth including links to the approved doc in the article. --[[User:John Rumm|John Rumm]] ([[User talk:John Rumm|talk]]) 08:15, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Legal, etc., requirements?

Wiki-Wide Remarks

With bulk immigration combined with buy-to-let, there must be many instances of landlord/tenant combinations in which one or both of the pair are generally incompetent (at speaking English as well as at everything else) and/or have a general disregard for legalities, Health and Safety, etc. - and some of us are likely to want to get resulting deficiencies remedied.

For that, it would be helpful to have guidance, including links, as to where the officially-authoritative information is on the Web.

Specific to DHW

What, if any, are the legal requirements on installation and servicing unvented DHW systems? Is notification needed?

References?

: Its my understanding that all DHW systems now come under part G3 of the building regs (see approved doc G). So installation is notifiable. I am not sure that servicing is - although the rules may be different in let accommodation. Probably worth including links to the approved doc in the article. --John Rumm (talk) 08:15, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
