It was getting difficult to get the drawers out... the socket could not be reached... so an experiment was tried.

The freezer was fast defrosted while powered up using a 330w centrifugal fan. Progress was rapid.

Air was blown in at the bottom, with each shelf only defrosting once the one below had defrosted. Blowing it in nearer the middle would quite likely double the rate of progress.
