Indeed it does, but since you don't have ready access to the actual value for "your" gas, you have to go with a figure that is "about right". (typical application might be doing pipe sizing calcs where all you have is the input power of an appliance and need to know the hourly volume). --John Rumm 09:06, 7 October 2012 (BST)
