Local energy advisor scam

From time to time people have received a call from a gentleman called Chris, who introduces himself as "your local energy advisor". Needless to say this is a cold calling sales pitch that will try to get you to book and appointment to have your loft insulation "assessed".

So far so typical. However the more interesting aspect that many have not spotted is that well spoken Chris, with a neutral English accent is actually a recording. More to the point a recording directed by a fairly slick Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. So he speaks, and waits for a reply, and what he says next is guided by any key words recognised in the response.

So what happens when you let this robot talk to another one? Meet Lenny, an fully automated time waster that can tie up Chris in the telephone equal of Groundhog Day! The results can be quite entertaining!
