Removal Options

  • Apply wallpaper paste, leave it to soften, then peel off Artex.
  • Use steamer to soften, peel off.
  • Use artex remover gel.

Other options

Knock the points off & plaster skim.

Safety

Artex made between - and 1986 contains asbestos. The fibres are bound in the artex thus risk is minimal, but old artex should not be sawn dry.

Because of this, removed artex should be double bagged before disposal.
